At (IWTB) I Want That Bag Consignment, we want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience, one that will keep them coming back to our store time and time again. That’s why we believe that our store policies should be fair, clear and transparent. Below you’ll find a list of all our policies.                                                                            THE SELECTION PROCESS

                     **** Please limit your clothing to 50 items not including footwear, accessories, or decor

                      There are times we can accomodate larger drop offs, please call to ensure we have the space.

           FEBRUARY 15TH - SPRING  APRIL 15TH -SUMMER  JULY 15TH - FALL  SEPTEMBER 15TH - WINTER

First of all, thank you for your interest in consigning with IWTB.  We appreciate all of our consignors and their personal investment in making IWTB a success.  All of our consignors should read about our selection process, as they change from season to season.  

​

*We make selections based on what our customers are currently interested in buying. As much as we would love to consign everything that comes through the door we simply can't.

*An IWTB team member will look through your items and select the items that we believe are right for our customers.

*We can return the items that don't fit our criteria or donate them on your behalf. Please do not take this personally.  This is a business decision, not a personal one.  We appreciate your understanding and ask that you be kind to our staff.

*We ask for your patience if a customer needs attention while you are dropping off.  Please be prepared to spend 10-15 minutes.  It only takes a few minutes, however, if it is a particularly busy day or a customer requires assistance you may be required to wait.  The buying customer must take priority.  After all, they may be purchasing one of your items!

We are working towards increasing the number of people who shop second hand in our community.  Which would increase the number of items we can accept from our consignors each week.  We appreciate the fact that our consignment policies may not work for everyone and you may choose not to consign at IWTB.  However, we welcome all who share our commitment to providing Lucknow with the best in sustainable fashions.

Consignment shopping benefits the community in so many ways and we hope that you, too, support green living by shopping second hand and not just consigning.

TIPS TO ENSURE CONSIGNMENT SUCCESS

​

*We look for items purchased within the last 2-3 years and are in season and/or trendy.

*CLEAN AND LIKE-NEW

*Impeccable condition is what we look for.  Items to be freshly cleaned, neatly folded and brought to us in a box, tote or clear bag. NO BLACK GARBAGE BAGS!

*Check over everything for pilling, and stains in the crotch, shredded bottoms, fading, lint, missing brand labels, collar marks, ripped linings, underarm marks, thread pulls, etc. or alterations that are not professionally done.

*Check that all buttons, zippers and fasteners are in good working order.

*Polish and clean shoes, including the soles.  They should look like new, or have no visible signs of wear, for example scuffs, toe imprints, nicks on heels or soles to worn.

*Wipe down purses inside and out and check for stained or ripped linings, fraying purse straps and broken zippers.

*CLOTHING BROUGHT IN BLACK GARBAGE BAGS WILL NOT BE CONSIGNED.

*Items that have odors from perfume, tabacco, mold, wood smoke, moth balls etc. have pet hair, company logos or are souvenir clothing will not be consigned.

Anything that does not fit the above criteria, that is missed during your drop off, will be recycled at the stores discretion, so please go through your items carefully.

ITEMS WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING

​

Due to shopping trends, we periodically make changes to the types of items we carry.  At this time we are not taking the following:

​

*Pants-unless they are better brand and in like -new condition.  No pleated pants, cords, or elastic waistbands.

*Bridal wear

*Grad Dresses/Formal Wear unless they are new with tags, in a younger style and wrinkle free.  Formal wear in general, sells better closer to Christmas.  The month of November is better for formal wear and party dresses.

*Lingerie/Bras-unless they are new with tags

*Menswear we are selective to denims, t-shirts, shoes, and shorts

*Plain t-shirts-unless they are better brand names and are in perfect condition, or new with tags on.

*Leather or Suede- unless it is spring or fall, are no older than 2-3 years, have no shoulder pads and are in excellent condition.

ITEMS THAT ARE CURRENTLY IN HIGH DEMAND

 

-Tops that are in stye and in season are always our best seller!

-Designer and quality name brand purses.

-100% Wool sweaters sell well in the FALL and WINTER,  however they must be in style and free from PILLING.

-Summer dresses, shorts, tops, footwear, sun hats, active wear

-Hoodies & Denims we take all year round

-Anything Lululemon, but especially yoga pants and hoodies, and they must be in excellent condition.

-Seasonal decor - always a hit!

BRANDS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

​

* Local big box brands, such as Wall Mart brands George, Joe Fresh, Ardene, G21,

Athletic Works, Giant Tiger and Warehouse One, Nygard 

We will be very selective so be prepared to have items returned to you if we feel we can not sell them. In the future we may discontinue selling them altogether for now they must be new with tags or in excellent condition.

PLEASE DO NOT CONSIGN ANYTHING WITH IWTB THAT YOU WOULD NOT WANT DONATED TO CHARITY, AS THIS MAY HAPPEN.

Donation from our consignors have benefited a countless number of people in our community, and they will continue to do so.

​

EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY include

​

Designer handbags, jewelry, clothing, decor or furniture items we value at $50.00 or more.

​

Why just accept "brand name"clothing?

​

Our experience has proven that quality brand names sell better at our store.  When most customers are buying gentle worn clothing, they are looking for better quality brands that have a reputation of keeping their shape and colour, wash after wash.  All consignment shops are different and have success with different styles and brands.

​

Although, we have a lot of really great consignors, that share our mission to make IWTB the best it can possibly be, we have experienced some that don't share that vision.

​

Consignment contracts will be terminated for those who do not honour our policies.
