Thank you for your interest in consigning with I Want That Bag (IWTB). We deeply value the contributions of our consignors and their investment in the success of our business. We encourage all consignors to familiarize themselves with our selection process, which may vary seasonally.

At IWTB, we are dedicated to delivering an outstanding shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty and repeat visits. We strive to uphold policies that are fair, transparent, and easy to understand. Below, you will find a summary of our policies. Seasonal Clothing Drop-Off Dates:

Spring: February 15th
Summer: April 15th
Fall: July 15th
Winter: September 15th

TIPS TO ENSURE CONSIGNMENT SUCCESS

We prioritize items that are trendy, in-season, and within 2-3 years of purchase. To ensure a successful consignment, please adhere to the following conditions:

Clean and Like-New Condition
- We seek items in impeccable condition.
- Ensure all items are freshly cleaned, neatly folded, and brought to us in a box, tote, or clear bag.
- Please note: Black garbage bags will not be accepted.

Inspection for Flaws
- Carefully inspect for pilling, stains (especially in the crotch area), shredded bottoms, fading, lint, missing brand labels, collar marks, ripped linings, underarm marks, thread pulls, or alterations that have not been professionally done.

Check Fasteners and Hardware
- Ensure all buttons, zippers, and fasteners are fully functional.

Footwear Presentation
- Polish and clean shoes, including soles, to look like new or show no visible signs of wear (e.g., scuffs, toe imprints, nicks on heels, or worn soles).

Purses and Bags
- Wipe down both the inside and outside of purses.
- Check for stained or ripped linings, fraying straps, or broken zippers.

Item Rejection Criteria
- Items brought in black garbage bags will not be consigned.
- Items with odors (e.g., perfume, tobacco, mold, wood smoke, mothballs), pet hair, company logos, or souvenir clothing will not be accepted.

Final Considerations
- Any items that do not meet the above criteria and are missed during drop-off may be recycled at the store's discretion.
- Please ensure your items meet all conditions before bringing them in.

PLEASE DO NOT CONSIGN ITEMS THAT YOU WOULD NOT WANT DONATED TO CHARITY (AS THIS MAY HAPPEN)

Exception to this policy includes:

Designer handbags
Jewelry
Clothing
Decor
Furniture

If we feel these items would be valued at $50 or more

Consignor contracts will be terminated for those who fail to adhere to our policies.

The Selection Process

We select items based on customer demand and current trends. While we would love to consign everything, we are unable to do so.

Item Evaluation

An IWTB team member will assess your items and select those that meet our criteria. We only accept top brand name or clothing that are in next to new condition and must be within 3 years old or of classic style. Clothing must be clean, neatly folded in a bag, box or tote that can be returned back to you.

Please do not bring clothing in on hangers (as we use our own).

Returning or Donating Items

Items not selected upon initial sort can either be returned back to you or donated on your behalf. Please understand that this is a business decision, not personal. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you be respectful to our staff members.

Drop-off Expectations

Please be patient if a customer requires assistance during your drop-off.
Allow 10-15 minutes for processing, though wait times may vary on busy days.
Customers purchasing items must be prioritized.

Drop-off Limit

Please limit clothing drop-offs to 50 items (excluding footwear, accessories, or decor).
Larger drop-offs may be accommodated with prior approval - please contact us in advance.

Courtesy Call

No appointment is necessary, but a courtesy call ahead is always appreciated.

Commitment to Sustainability

We are committed to increasing second-hand shopping in our community, which allows us to accept more items each week. We recognize our policies may not work for everyone, but we welcome all who share our dedication to providing sustainable fashion in Lucknow & Wingham.

ITEMS & BRANDS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Due to evolving shopping trends, we periodically adjust the types of items we accept. At this time, we are unable to accept the following:

Pants – We will only accept high-quality, like-new brand-name pants. We do not accept pleated pants, corduroy, or pants with elastic waistbands.
Bridal Wear – We do not accept bridal wear.
Graduation Dresses/Formal Wear – We do not accept prom or graduation dresses. We will accept bridesmaid, mother of the bride and wedding guest dresses.
Lingerie/Bras – We are only accepting lingerie and bras that are new with tags.
Menswear – We are selective with menswear and are currently only accepting high-quality denim, t-shirts, shoes, and shorts.
Plain T-shirts – We will only accept plain t-shirts from reputable brands that are in excellent condition, or those that are new with tags.
Leather and Suede – We are only accepting leather and suede items during spring and fall, provided they are no more than 2-3 years old, free of shoulder pads, and in excellent condition.

Brands We Do Not Accept:

Local big box brands - Walmart, George, Joe Fresh, Ardene, G21, Athletic Works, Giant Tiger, Warehouse One and Nygard.

We will be very selective so please be prepared to have items returned back to you if we feel we can not sell them.

Why Only Accept Name Brand?

Our experience has demonstrated that high-quality brand names tend to sell more effectively at our store. Customers purchasing gently worn clothing often seek brands known for maintaining their shape and color after multiple washes.

While each consignment shop has its own unique success with different styles and brands, we have the privilege of working with many outstanding consignors who share our commitment to making IWTB the best it can be.
